We’ve Eloped!

We’ve Eloped!  This is what the front of their announcement read!  We’ve eloped.

For Alan and Mallory, this was the best way they could say I love you, and I will love you FOREVER!

Back in December, Alan and Mallory pledged their lives to one another in marriage.  They knew that they didn’t want to spend another second apart.  These two met years and years ago at a Bible camp.  When they were 12 years old, they spent a week together.  Years past, and again, when they were 15, they spent another week together at this same camp!  They kept in slight touch as the years went by, and decided to see eachother again in December.  After being together for another week, they decided they were meant to be, and in Mallory’s words, “can you say CRAZ?!”

I have known Mallory for a number of years now, and I know I was probably no different that everyone else who heard the news!  CRAZY!  I thought!  Crazy!

I was delighted and honored though, when she asked me to come and be apart of the family reception, and to take a few pictures to share their story.  When I began to spend time with these two – watch them together, listen to how they spoke with one another, watch how they played in front of the camera, my thoughts of craziness, turned to excitement for them.  These two showered eachother in love, and it was so wonderful to be with them.

Their reception was held at the same camp they met at.  It was bright and simple.  Sweetwater Coffee (Dillon, MT), one of Mallory’s favorite lunch and coffe spots catered the event – boxed luches, homemade cookies, and their infamous fresh squeezed lemonade.  Everywhere you looked, there was polka dots – reminding everyone of Mallory’s energetic and fun personality.

One thing you can never count on, though, is the weather – especially in June – especially in Montana.

Alan and Mallory weren’t afraid to brave the rain, though, for a few photos, and boy was I excited!  Even in the rain, their love for one another shone through.

Mallory – as you can see – is always up for some fun, and why should her wedding reception be anything but that?  It was a gathering of family, and so she wanted to have some fun by playing some games.  Have you ever seen the TV show Minute to Win-it?  Well, I hadn’t, but after watching this family partake in some very funny relays, it made me want to go home and watch this show.  The best was trying to get an oreo from their forehead with out using anything but their face muscles!  It as SOOOO hard to take pictures – I was laughing to hard.
