Oh, how I loved this wedding. This sweet couple was fun, relaxed, had an artsy flare, and were a bit quirky . . .
red shoes, handmade headpieces, a black frame,
an auntie to marry them in crazy sunglasses, AMAZING cake, beautiful clouds,
wildflowers, mountains, and perfume
dancing, kissing, laughing
roses and onions, lots of lace, family, friends, and oh sweet, sweet love
Often times, I have the pleasure of sharing the love story . . . but today, this is a love story by Megan and Brian Terry. When you are finished browsing here, come see a slideshow of their whole day – by clicking HERE!!!
“We aren’t about the glam of love . . love can be burning brownies on a Saturday!” ~Megan and Brian “We like horror movies, walking our dogs, brie cheese, thuderstorms, french, arguing, roasted garlic, the color yellow, and leaving spaghetti for the spaghetti gods!” ~Megan and Brian “The wedding is just the icing on the cake. . . we already have the mushy layers in between!” ~Megan and Brian “We aren’t afraid to show our flaws . . .they are what make us stronger.” ~Megan and Brian

As many of you know, we are expecting baby #6 . . .
And like all pregnant women, I have been super, super lazy! I have just been laying around-watching re-runs of Lie to Me and House, eating Cheetos and the newest Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream (together of course), and letting my dear husband do every ounce of house cleaning. Needless to say, because of this fact, I have fallen behind in my work.
Luckily, I work with some pretty fantastic brides – brides whom understand the “situation” their wedding photographer has found herself in. They have been so wonderful – recognizing that TV and junk food are sometimes just more important than wedding albums and lifetime memories.
HA!
I want to introduce you to one of the most beautiful brides I have come across. Olivia.
Olivia has a heart that radiates beauty. It pours out of her in her speech, in her actions, and in her love. She is so so sweet, kind, and as I mentioned earlier – patient.
Olivia and Greg were married in the middle of July, and have been waiting ever so paitently for just a glimpse of their wedding pictures, and today, when I went to post them, I realized why it has taken so long for me to get them up! There are so many wonderful ones! Each picture of their wedding screams love and laughter – romance and fun! Some weddings focus on decorations. Some weddings – the DJ and dancing are what its about. At the wedding of Greg and Olivia Obray, their love for one another demanded the attention. Don’t get me wrong, they had wonderful decorations, and they didn’t lack a grrreeaaattt party, but when the two of them were together, it made you want to stop and watch them. Stop and watch how they spoke to one another, how they touched each other, and how their love was reflected in the others’ eyes. Simple, comfortable, and everlasting love.
Greg and Olivia, your wedding is one that I will always remember. I am excited to watch your sweet girl grow up. Thank you for letting me be a part of your family . . . for so many of your precious “life” moments.

I sat here on this very chair several weeks ago, thinking about how much must have happened in this room. I was sitting in the “mud room” of a family whose only daughter was getting married. I looked at the coats on the hooks, and wondered how many nights and days they had been worn out in the cold while their owner tended to the cows or worked in the fields. I looked at the gloves and boots covered in dirt and wondered how fences they had fixed or mud puddles they had walked through. From my spot on this stool, I could see into the kitchen, and I wondered how many meals had been made – how many good “chats” had happened – how many hugs and tears had been shared.
From this spot, on this stool, I saw a family - a hard-working family – getting ready for a very special day. They were getting ready for a day that would never be forgotten. They were getting ready for a day that they had been preparing for – for a lifetime.
This wedding was so very special in so many ways.
I met Perrie and her fiance over a year ago when they first got engaged and were looking for someone to help them document their day. They were so kind and wonderful to be with. I learned that they both came from very strong families. I learned that they were both finishing up their college and had been together for quite sometime. I learned that they were madly in love with one another and could hardly wait to spend the rest of their lives together. I learned they valued family, love, and one another. I learned that this was a special couple that I was going to have the honor of working with.
This wedding was also so special because of all the details that they connected to their family. Perrie was going to be wearing her mothers dress, a veil she made herself, and walking down the aisle with the same sixpense in her boot that her mother had in hers. Her aunties all pulled together plan the wedding, create the decorations, and make the cake. Neighbors came to prepare the food and set up the tents. The same pastor that married her parents . . . yes the very same man that blessed their parents marriage, was there to preform this ceremony. And the cake was topped with the very same cake topper that was on her parents cake.
The whole day was touched by love – love that had been held through generations – love that was being passed on to Ty and Perrie.
I was so excited to be a part. After you are done looking at few of the wedding pictures, make sure to check out their whole wedding album HERE.
